White Supremacist Group Plans Anti-Somali Rally

LEWISTON, Maine, Dec 30, 2002 (AP) - The leader of a Riverton, Wyo.-based white supremacist group that is planning a rally against Somalis who have settled in this city is facing a contempt of court charge in Chicago.

Matt Hale, high priest of the World Church of the Creator, is scheduled to appear before a federal judge three days before the planned Jan. 11 gathering in Maine.

But Hale said he doesn't expect his legal troubles to keep him from going to Lewiston.

Hale recently moved the group's headquarters from East Peoria, Ill.

On Jan. 8, Hale is scheduled to appear before U.S. District Court Judge Joan Lefkow, who had ordered Hale's group to stop using the name World Church of the Creator, saying another group has a valid trademark on the name.

And as usual, the warlord is trying to blame others for his own mistakes.
