Las Anod, Somaliland, November 10, 2007 – Twenty-two people, most of them teenagers, arrived Tuesday in Las Anod, the headquarters of the Sool Region. They were arrested by Somaliland forces during a recent demonstration in the town.

The released youth told the press in Las Anod that they were treated well by Somaliland officials during their detention in Burco Prison in Togdheer Region.

They were released following efforts by Somaliland MPs who hail from Sool Region.

The youth were warmly received upon their arrival in Las Anod.
