Interpeace Cancels Voter Registration Contract

Hargeysa, Somaliland, March 28, 2015 (SL Times) – Interpeace canceled the voter registration contract it had awarded to Creative Company. The cancellation came after complaints by ESI (Electrol Service International) alleging irregularities in the awarding of the contract.
Interpeace said it reached the decision after consulting with the electoral commission and donor countries.
Interpeace’s statement went as follows:
“Per section 15 of the Instructions to Tenders and sections 2.4.13 of the PRAG (http://ec.europe.eu/europeaid/prag) and in consultation with NEC and the donors supporting the Somaliland Voter Registration process, Interpeace is cancelling tender Somaliland NEC 2014-02.
